We had a great week with our guests last week.  We always enjoy having people come to visit. The Bahamas has been a great place to have visitors and we have really enjoyed our time here. All good things must come to an end as they say.   It is time for us to start making our way to get farther south for the hurricane season.  With that said, we have left Nassau and headed over to Eleuthera Island to stay a few days at the Cape Eleuthera  Marina.

We sailed from Nassau to Ten Bay Eleuthera and dropped the hook for the night.  It was a long day, we arrived around 930pm.  The next morning we had a much shorter sail and had to wait on high tide to enter the marina.  We dropped anchor just outside and had lunch and cleaned up a bit.  Once we were nearing high tide we headed into the marina.

We arrived on a beautiful afternoon and got tied up to our slip.  After we were settled we took the pups and toured the marina.  The marina has lots of grass and roads, trails to walk the dogs.  They also have a beautiful beach as well to take them to.  There are a few projects to work on and wait out a little weather before heading out.  Therefore we stopped into their restaurant for a sundowner and bite to eat.  They have the walls all painted with ocean life.  I took a few pictures.  It was pretty neat.  This stop turned out to be a gem.

We really enjoyed our stay here.  Everyone was so nice and helpful.  They have a little store right at the marina to pick up a few items of our beverages.

On one of the evenings, we were walking the pups and there were a group of guys cutting up lionfish and throwing it to sharks below.  The marina has two resident bull sharks and they post signs not to swim in the marina. They were at the fish station along with nurse sharks and a few more bull sharks.  I was able to get a video of it and I have included it below along with some of the pictures from the time.

Another thing they have going for them is amazing sunsets views.

Don’t forget to check out the video below the photos!
