Today we are flying into Annapolis, MD for a couple classes.  The two classes we are taking are Marine Diesel Basics and Marine Diesel Engines: Level II from Annapolis School of Seamanship.  This school offers all kinds of classes from towing to captain license.  We have never attended this school but we have heard that they offer a lot of hands-on training.  This is just what we are looking for.  They also get a lot of great reviews about their instructors. Super excited! The pet/house sitters have arrived.  Annapolis here we come!!

We are both really excited about these courses.  This will be very beneficial to us for general maintenance of our sailboat engine.  It will also help us to troubleshoot and fix small issues.  This will not make us professionals but help us to better know and understand our engine so we will know when to call a professional and when we can fix it ourselves.

I have not been to Annapolis since I was a kid.  I am excited to check out the area a little bit when we are off in the evenings. Who knows we might even check out a boat or two while we are up there.  We will have to see what we find.

I can’t wait to fill you in on what we thought of the course and what we learned.  Have you taken any courses at this school? We would love to hear your thoughts please post in the comment sections below.  Please also post if you have taken this type, of course (at another school) we would love to hear what you took away from the course.
