After heading out of Crescent City around 12 today we stopped in Klamath Falls, Oregon for the night.  We are working our way to The Grand Tetons and A Second Stop in Yellowstone.  We stayed at a golf course with Harvest Host.  Nice little spot and everyone was very friendly.  We had a bite to eat in their restaurant and then explored the city.    Up early and on the road again by 730am. On our travels today we encountered a rancher moving his cattle along the highway.  The dogs went crazy and Sadie jumped on top of Dave to get a better view.  Made it all the way to Boise, Id today.

Decided to stay in Boise for a couple of days to catch up on things.  It’s a nice city they have a great brewery.  One of my favorites on this trip.  White Dog Brewery.  Check it out if your ever in Boise, ID.  After that, we made our way to Shelly Idaho for the night.  Got up early and made it to Grand Teton Distillery for another Harvest Host stop.  They specialize in Vodka and Bourbon, not something Dave and I drink much of but they were all very good.

Yellowstone

The next morning as we were getting things ready to pull out we got to watch two hot air balloons take off in the area behind us.  The neat thing was one of them was just a person on a seat with a harness attached.  They call this a hopper balloon.  I have included a few pictures.  It was a pretty cool sight.  Neither Dave nor I have ever seen this type of ballooning.   Ok, back to our day.

Stayed the first night at a sight that was very close to the south entrance of Yellowstone.  We’re going to make one more visit to Yellowstone on this trip.   I really wanted to see the Grand Prismatic Spring.  We ran short on time our last stop and didn’t get to check it out.  So, after we got our spot sorted we headed into Yellowstone one last time.  Very beautiful glad we went in we were also able to see several other springs and a geyser that were located near Grand Prismatic.

Grand Tetons

It was pretty cold the night before so we were up early and moved to a more central spot in the Teton area.  Once we got situated we did the scenic drives and went up to Signal mountain.  The views up here are impressive.  We stopped at many of the overlooks and took quite a few pictures and just enjoyed the view.  For lunch, we ate a cute little eatery in Jackson Hole called E Leaven Food Co.  Delicious food.  Relaxed the rest of the afternoon and enjoyed a beautiful sunset of, Mount Moran.

The Tetons are amazing!
