We had a beautiful sail up to Compass Cay from Staniel Cay.  The winds were perfect and we were able to sail almost the entire way.  It was so peaceful listening to the boat glide through the water. We had a great time.

Something to note about Compass Cay, when entering the channel to get into the Cay you really have to pay attention.  A lot of the markers are not there and it is very shallow, you could easily end up grounded if you are not paying attention.  Luckily, we did not have any issues other than a bit of stress until we were through the channel.  We decided not to dock at the marina but anchor out just outside the marina.  The water was absolutely beautiful, there wasn’t a lot of coral and it really looked like a giant pool with a beautiful white sandy bottom.  After confirming the anchor was set we decided to head into the marina and check out this little spot.

Dave and I really enjoyed this place, it was so calm, quiet and peaceful.  We walked around a bit and checked out some of the Island and then hung out at the dock and chatted with the gentleman running the marina.

They have a lowered dock that you can walk down to and during high tide, all of these nurse sharks swim up onto it and hang out, it was really quite cool.  We were also able to watch the gentlemen cleaning about 5 Conch that his brother had got for him.  I have added some pictures and a video below.
