I thought this spot deserved its own little blog post.  After all, this place was the whole reason we started looking at going to the Bahamas for my 40 birthday trip.  I can’t tell you how interesting it was to see pigs actually swimming in the ocean.  There were a lot of pigs on the beach and we were surprised that many of them were quite big.  I think people see this place advertised on Pinterest or other sites and they see pictures of little pigs and get the idea they are pot belly pigs or baby piglets.  But, let me tell you there were very few if any that were the size of a piglet.  They are all a normal size pig and several are VERY large.  What a unique experience.  We took a lot of pictures many that didn’t turn out or were hard to see due to the distance and also some video as well.

When we pulled up the second time over at Big Majors there was one pig that just started swimming right to our boat, he swam right up to the back end.  We were not sure about feeding them but he just didn’t want to leave so we fed him a very nice meal that was mine from the night before.  He seemed to enjoy it immensely.  It was a lot of fun to watch him eat, but we worried he would drown.  However, once we ran out of food and he realized he wasn’t getting anymore he was on his way back to the beach just as quickly as he came up to us.  A pretty neat experience.  I have attached a picture below and also a video of the feeding.

Check out the photo and video below, it was amazing!!!
