Happy Anniversary, 5 years of You & Me

Today Dave and I celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. What an amazing 5 years it has been! We have been to so many places, seen so many different cultures, and learned so much about each other and the world.

Getting Married and Beyond

We got married in the Texas Hill Country on a beautiful afternoon/evening! Our honeymoon was celebrated in the BVI’s where we bareboat chartered a boat for a week. It would only be 3 years before we would buy our first sailboat together and start the process of selling everything we owned, including our home and cars. In August of 2018, we left Houston for Panama City, then to Biloxi to escape the hurricane, Micheal. Onto Key West and Bahamas in December.

We left the Bahamas in April and spent the next year sailing the Caribbean. Since COVID we have come back to the states. We borrowed Dave’s dad’s RV and toured the U.S. for the hurricane season. We will be spending the holidays with family and then life is up in the air for us. This is typical we pretty much write all our plans in the sand at low tide.

Five years may seem short to some and may be an eternity to others. To me, I can’t believe where the time has gone. We have been through some crazy stuff and had our ups and downs. Marriage is work and hard work. To me, it is worth the effort. I wouldn’t want to go through any of the obstacles or adventures with anyone else by my side. I am looking forward to our next adventure and can’t wait to see what the future holds. Below I have included some photos of the last five years. Selecting the pictures was the hardest part, we have taken a lot of photos!
