A RV Renovation and Update!

Well, there hasn’t been a lot going on lately.  That is why I haven’t been on the blog in a while.  I realized that I still needed to post our last big project and fill you in a bit on what we have been up to.  So, this post is all about RV Renovation and Update!

As many of you know we are taking some time off the boat and touring the U.S. in an R.V.  We decided to update a few things in our R.V.  One of the big things was removing all the carpet.  It is a big pain with the dogs and all the backwoods camping we have done.  The carpet gets trashed.  So, we decided to take that out and update the cabinets with some new paint just to freshen things up.

Oh, I almost forgot.  We had a lot of water damage in the front cab so that was another thing that we completely tore out and fixed with Dave’s dad’s help(thanks Charles!).  We also decided to put cabinets up in that space as we never use them for sleeping quarters.   We can always use more storage.  I have attached pictures for you guys to see some before and after shots.

Update

I don’t really have a lot to report on what we are doing now.  Probably why I haven’t been posting lately.  Plus, sometimes when you get out of a routine, it’s hard to get back in the grove and into writing again.  Anyway,  we spent the holidays with my family in Texas and are currently hanging out in Rockport, TX.  We really enjoy it here, it’s right on the coast and if we can’t be on the water this is a great second choice.  We are currently working on what’s next for us!  Once we have a solid plan I will fill you all in.

One thing I am going to work on catching back up is our Caribbean sail.  If you remember my computer died and I wasn’t able to post for a while and then once I got a new one we were in the R.V. off on another adventure.  So, what I am going to start doing is a flashback Friday post.  Every Friday it will be from where I left off in Grenada all the way till we got back to the states.  I hope you will enjoy it.  I am excited about it, I love looking back on that trip!  We really miss being on the water.   Hopefully, we will be heading that way again sooner rather than later.  So, look for that next Friday.
