I am super excited to tell you about our new toy. Our Sailrite sewing machine just arrived and it is so exciting. Many of you might think a sewing machine, how boring, but you couldn’t be farther from the truth. What this puppy can do is pretty amazing. It will be a great staple on our boat.
The machine we bought is the Ultrafeed Zigzag & Straight Stitch LSZ-1. It can repair your sailcloth, sew biminis, Dodgers, you can re-upholster your cushions, and make a cover for your dinghy. The options are endless.
Where do we start?
Our first project is going to be a seat and chaps for our new tender that we recently purchased. This is super exciting, probably because it means we are making forward progress on our goals, which is always good to see. All of our supplies for our first project are supposed to arrive on Monday. Hopefully, by the end of next week, I will have some updated pictures of what we are working on.
