Last weekend we headed back to Panama City after having to evacuate. It had been a little over a week since Hurricane Michael left his mark on the city. We have come to love this city in such a short time of being there. It is such a great place, we were walking distance to restaurants, bars, and the post office. It was a great fit for us. There were also things that we needed to pick up.
We needed to get to the FedEx distribution Center by 4 pm Friday. You see the day of the hurricane we were supposed to have 3 lithium batteries delivered to us at the Panama City Marina. That obviously didn’t happen. However, FedEx told us that they would only hold them at their distribution center for 5 days, it had already been several days. There was also items waiting for us at the post office. On top of all of that, we really wanted to get back to our marina and see with our own eyes how it had done in the hurricane. Pictures we had seen were not good.
